Article Configuration

Display Type
There are 2 display types to choose from "Simple" and "Standard" each of these display types can be customized using the Colors tool.

Title
This is the title for your Article Control.
 
Summary
This is a short summary of what your articles are about.
 
Articles Per Page
This settings allows you to control how many items show per page of your article control. If you have more articles than defined here then the control will automatically render paging links for the control. 
 

Articles

Disable Article
Check this box to prevent the article from showing on your website.
 
Title
This is the title for your article, this title shows in the article list control, RSS feed and on the detail page.
 
Date/Context Header
This field can be used for anything but is typically used as a date or location pertainint to your article, this value shows in the list control, RSS feed and on the detail page.
 
Thumbnail URL
The list control for your articles allows you to display a thumbnail for each item. Upload a small image to display next to this item if you want. 
  
Summary
This is a short description of your article, this value shows in the list control and RSS feed only.
 
Friendly URL
This value allows your article to have a more readable URL so it's easier for your visitors to remember.
  
Redirect URL
This value allows your article to redirect to another page. This is useful if the article becomes out of date and want to redirect your visitors to a more up to date page.
 
Meta Data
Meta data is used by search engines by helping them to index and categorize your pages.
  
Content
This content is used on the detail page for the item. If content is entered here then the item in the list control will automatically become a link to this detail page, otherwise no link will be displayed.
